Man United Target FC Porto Center-Back Instead of Toby Alderweireld

Eder Militao
DBasia.news – Manchester Evening News reported Jose Mourinho is eyeing Eder Militao to be Manchester United’s future defender. He believes Militao is more promising.
Eder Militao has guarded FC Porto’s defense 13 times since recruited from Sao Paulo in the previous summer transfer market. Jose Mourinho is interested in his performance.
Moreover, FC Porto’s defensive line is getting stronger than before. Porto are leading the table of Portugal League and achieved three victories and one draw in the Champions League.
Militao is chosen because he has the transfer possibility. The former target, 29-year-old Toby Alderweireld is worth £50M by Tottenham Hotspur. The Red Devils assume the Belgium national team player doesn’t have any bargaining position in the future.
However, it won’t be easy for The Red Devils to sign Militao. The 20-year-old player is also the target of two Premier League clubs, Manchester City and Everton.
Previously, Manchester United were also mentioned related to Napoli’s defender, Kaildou Koulibaly. But, the Senegal player is still in contract until June 2023.
Manchester United made it to the qualification phase after defeating Young Boys 1-0 in the 5th matchday of 2018-2019 Champions League at Old Trafford Stadium, Tuesday (27/11). The only goal from The Red Devils was scored by Marouane Fellaini at 90+1′.
