Manchester United Gives Ultimatum to David De Gea

David De Gea is one of the Manchester United players in the spotlight. The Spanish national team goalkeeper is often made the blacksheep for the minor results achieved by Manchester United in the last few games.

So far, De Gea has conceded 51 goals in 36 Premier League matches. The ex Atletico Madrid has only recorded seven clean sheets.

However, Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, still believes in the goalkeeper. Solskjaer believes, De Gea is still one of the best goalkeepers.

“Of course we still believe in De Gea. He is very extraordinary this season. We are nearing the end now. He made headlines because of a false origin, but he must face it,” Solskjaer said as quoted by the Daily Mail.

“The position of the goalkeeper is fantastic with Emiilio Alverez, Sergio Romero, Lee Grant and David De Gea. They are a group of goalkeepers who have a close relationship,” continued the manager.

According to the circulating news, Manchester United has submitted a new contract with a salary of 350 thousand per week. At present, the goalkeeper is bound by a contract until the end of June 2020.

Manchester United have asked De Gea to immediately make a decision. The goalkeeper was asked to reveal the answer one week later. Manchester United are believed to want to sell the goalkeeper if they do not agree with the contract given. Paris Saint-Germain is one of the clubs interested.

Since defending Manchester United in 2011, De Gea has appeared in 360 matches. De Gea brought the Red Devils to the Premier League title, FA Cup, Europa League to the English League Cup.
