DBasia.news –  Corona virus is increasingly outbreaking in Europe. The impact of the virus named Covid-19 had an impact on matches in European competition, one of which was the Europa League match between LASK and Manchester United which was forced to take place without spectators.

Along with the Champions League match between Bayern Munich vs Chelsea, Barcelona vs Napoli, and Borussia Dortmund vs PSG, LASK vs Man United was also held without spectators in the match that will be held at Linzer Stadion on Friday (13/03).

LASK made the decision to play the Europa League last 16 first leg match without spectator after getting a message from the Austrian Government. The government banned a crowd of more than 500 people because it was considered to accelerate the transmission of the corona virus.

Reportedly as many as 900 Man United fans will travel to Austria and present at the Linzer Stadium. However, because the match was held without spectators, Man United returned the money to the fans who had bought the match tickets.

“Following instructions from the Austrian Government, we have been told by UEFA and LASK that the Europa League match on Thursday will be held in private (without spectators),” as a statement from Manchester United.

“LASK will now cancel tickets that have been issued to Manchester United. We will automatically issue refunds on behalf of LASK to our fans who have purchased tickets.”

Leg one is going to be held without spectators. However for the second leg which will be held at Old Trafford on Friday (3/20), there is still no immediate explanation whether the match took place normally or without spectators.
