Manchester United Should’ve Recruit Young Players, Not Mario Mandzukic
By db-admin
DBasia.news – To overcome the attacker’s crisis, Paul Ince believes Manchester United should have brought in young strikers. According to the former Manchester United player, bringing in Mario Mandzukic into the club is not the right choice to overcome the crisis.
Mandzukic, 33, has reportedly reached a verbal agreement to join Man United in January 2020 (winter transfer market). The fact that he rarely plays at Juventus reinforces the issue.
However, according to Ince, Mandzukic is not a long-term solution for Man United as of his age. Ince believes Man United should bring in young attackers in accordance with the club’s philosophy.
“I don’t think Mandzukic is the answer (the solution to United’s crisis). I feel that you never get the best players in January, the clubs don’t sell their best players in January, so anyone who will be recruited by Manchester United is just temporary (solution), “Ince said to the Mirror.
“If you are looking for a way through young players’ paths then they should recruit young strikers, not Zlatan (Ibrahimovic) or Mandzukic.”
“Against AZ Alkmaar they did not release one shot on target – this is embarrassing. Three embarrassing kicks against Newcastle, this is also embarrassing for Man United,” explained Ince.
It is understandable if Ince thinks United should bring in younger striker, as this season Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is rejuvenating United’s squad by relying on young players in his squad such as: Daniel James, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Scott McTominay, and Mason Greenwood.
