Manchester United Still Retains Ole Gunnar Solksjaer
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Red Devils management is reportedly still retaining coach Ole Gunnar Solksjaer. The Reds Devils are currently experiencing less than the maximum performance plus a number of their mainstay players have suffered from injuries. The impact of the poor performance, has made fans want the Red Devils coach to be fired.
However, Manchester United deputy CEO, Ed Woodward, has decided not to dismiss Solskjaer for the reason that the Norwegian coach us important for the club’s long-term plan, according to the Express report, Thursday (1/23).
The Red Devils always insist that Solskjaer’s position is safe at Old Trafford. Even so, recent reports indicate that the club has had conversations with former Tottenham coach, Mauricio Pochettino.
Bleacher Report stated that United would not fire Solskjaer, with Woodward fully supporting the 46-year-old coach despite the club’s poor performance this season.
United themselves still seem happy with the plans of the former Molde and Cardiff coach. A source from the club said: “He (Solskjaer) built his own team and must be given the time and space to do so.”
“He is undoubtedly receiving support.”
In previous years, except for Jose Mourinho, United had sacked their coach when they failed to finish in the top four in the English Premier League.
David Moyes was sacked in 2014 after making United, who last season won the English league become the team that finished in seventh place.
