Manuel Neuer is Certain He Can Play Against Liverpool

DBasia.news –  Manuel Neuer will be fit to defend Bayern Munich in the away match against Liverpool on Wednesday.

Bayern are scheduled to visit Liverpool for the first leg of the Champions League last 16. The German giants have a bad record because they only won once from seven meetings against Liverpool in European competition.

While Neuer has missed playing in Bayern’s last two games in the Bundesliga because of a finger injury.

But Neuer had returned to training with the first team and was confident he could fully recover before flying to England.

“We are all positive about this. I am sure I will be the guardian of the goal in the match later,” said the German national team goalkeeper.

Previously, coach Niko Kovac even mentioned Neuer might be back in the match against Augsburg this weekend.

“Manuel has no complaints at all, so he became our choice for tomorrow’s match,” Kovac said.
