DBasia.news – Many rival clubs in England that are unwilling to see Liverpool win the Premier League. This was revealed by Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool manager. Even so, Klopp still sees this season as a successful season for his team.
Liverpool are still keeping up hope for the 2018-2019 Premier League title. At present, Mohamed Salah and his mates are top with two points ahead of Manchester City. The Citizens will hold the 37th match on Monday (6/5) local time.
In fact, a number of supporters in the UK has prefered Manchester City to win the Premier League. This was inseparable from the high rivalry between Liverpool and other participating clubs.
“Many supporters from other clubs will be happy if we fail. They are still behind us in the standings, apart from Man City. Everything is still fine,” Klopp said as Soccerway reported.
“At the beginning of coming to Liverpool, I realized this club had to do it in a difficult way, so we did it. That’s how it is, luck isn’t always with us,” said the manager.
“We have to really work for it and the players are ready. I am not sure we can go against Newcastle United, but it turns we could. I am really proud.”
Besides the Premier League, Liverpool are also still likely to win the Champions League title. However, the mission of the Reds was very heavy as they lost 3-0 to Barcelona in the first leg semifinals.
“Whatever happens, this will be a very successful season. I’m pretty sure the supporters can see it,” Klopp explained.
