DBasia.news – AC Milan coach, Marco Giampaolo does not want to blame his side after Udinese’s 0-1 defeat in the first week of Serie A.
According to the 52-year-old coach, Milan players have struggled optimally on the pitch. He instead on highlighting the matter of a penalty that the referee did not give to Milan.
“Overall the players have done what I asked. They were struggling to achieve the best results even though the final results spoke differently, “Giampaolo said.
“I must be objective. Maybe they give a penalty to equalize the position but this will not lead me to a different evaluation, “he added.
In the 83rd minute, the referee had stopped the match as he saw a handball violation by Udinese defender, Samir. The referee also checked the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).
In replays, it appears that Samir failed to block the ball from a corner with his head. The ball only hit his left arm.
Unfortunately the referee did not consider it to be a handball and AC Milan failed to equalize through a penalty.
“We are upset with the results, but my evaluation will not be different if we equalize from the penalty spot,” Giampaolo continued.
