By news-admin

Real Madrid get a bad news from Marcos Llorente after the El Clasico match in the Copa del Rey. He suffered an injury that made him predicted to be pulled over for a month.

Marcos Llorente played as a starter when Madrid held Barcelona to a 1-1 draw at the Camp Nou in the first leg of the Spanish King’s Cup semi-final this weekend.

Unfortunately, the 24-year-old midfielder had to finish the match early after being replaced by Casemiro in the second round. After undergoing a medical examination, Llorente is known to have suffered a serious injury to his left knee.

Real Madrid are still monitoring Llorente’s progress, the injury is predicted to require a maximum recovery time of a month.

“Based on the test results conducted by the Real Madrid medical team on our player Marcos Llorente today, he was diagnosed with a second-level adductor injury,” the club’s official statement said.

“The recovery process will continue to be monitored,” the statement continued.

Thus, Llorente will be absent when Madrid play the Madrid Derby against Atletico this weekend. In addition, he will also miss the first leg of the last 16 of the European Champions League against Ajax Amsterdam (13/2) and the Copa del Rey semi-final second leg against Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu (27/2).

So far, the Real Madrid Castilla academy player has only played 13 times with two goals scored.
