Marcus Rashford Demands a Salary Increase at Manchester United

DBasia.news –  Manchester United were supposed to want to tie their talent and flagship striker, Marcus Rashford, in a long-term contract.  But, that doesn’t seem to be happening in the near future.

According to a recent report from the Daily Mail, Rashford decided to postpone talks on his new contract with the Red Devils, because the British player demanded a salary increase estimated at £ 200,000 per week.

Although his team is still stuck in sixth place in the standings and has just been eliminated by Barcelona from the Champions League.  Rashford’s appearance in the 2018/19 season was quite consistent, and has now collected a total of 14 goals and nine assists.

This news seems to be a breath of fresh air for Barcelona who indeed want to bring Rashford and make it a successor to Luis Suarez, even the latest news says if the club has been willing to spend 100 million pounds to immediately recruit him to Camp Nou.

Although United have also repeatedly stressed that Rashford will not be released, the opportunity for the 21-year-old player to leave remains open, especially if the club that was trained by Sir Alex Ferguson failed to end the season in the top four.

Manchester United will certainly be a fairly busy club to defend a number of star players in the summer of 2019. In addition to Rashford, the club owner of 20 Premier League titles is also likely to lose Juan Mata, Matteo Darmian, and mainstay goalkeeper David de Gea.
