Massimo Moratti: Mauro Icardi is better than Romelu Lukaku

DBasia.news –  Massimo Moratti, former Inter Milan Supremo, still can’t understand Inter’s decision in recruiting Romelu Lukaku. According to him, Lukaku was far worse than Mauro Icardi.

Mauro Icardi has been at odds with Inter Milan officials since the 2018-2019 season. That’s because Icardi never extended his contract until his armband was removed.

These conditions has made Mauro Icardi no longer included in Inter Milan’s long-term plan. The club chose to freeze the status of the Argentine striker.

Finally Inter Milan are hunting for attackers to replace Mauro Icardi. Romelu Lukaku also came from Manchester United with a tag of up to 75 million euros.

The decision was criticized by Massimo Moratti. The reason is, Moratti feels Mauro Icardi has better quality than Romelu Lukaku.

“To be honest, I don’t know what’s going on with Mauro Icardi. Surely Icardi is a better attacker than Romelu Lukaku,” said Massimo Moratti.

“I know Mauro Icardi. I think he is a good person and very professional. You can’t keep talking about his wife.”

“In my opinion, Inter Milan carry that too much, after that they don’t know what to do. They can’t get out of that problem,” he continued.

Romelu Lukaku’s arrival has made Mauro Icardi’s chances of staying at Inter Milan even smaller. Now, there are only a few clubs that are willing to accommodate Icardi.
