DBasia.news – Antonio Conte is reportedly getting closer to dock at Inter Milan. Responding to the issue, Matteo Politano, the Inter wing striker, praised the coach.
Conte hasn’t been training for 12 months since being replaced by Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea. The rumor, Conte will train Inter, AS Roma, or the former club he has coached in the 2011-2014 period, Juventus.
But from the news published by the Goal, Conte is more inclined to Inter and the club’s board of directors will hold a conversation for him to replace Luciano Spalletti. Spalletti has coached Inter from 2017 and failed to present the trophy – despite consistently bringing the team to play in the Champions League.
Rumors of Conte’s arrival were responded to by Politano. The former Sassuolo player praised Conte as a great coach, although Politano believes Spalletti will continue to train Inter next season.
“I did not meet Conte, but he was a great coach, the statistics spoke about him. But, I think Spalletti will continue to train the team next season: he has a contract and we are available for him and the club,” Politano told Football-Italy.
Throughout his coaching career Conte has won three Scudetto, two Italian Super Cups, one Premier League and one FA Cup. His sweet record with the trophy is what made Inter attracted to him.
