Matteo Darmian Does Not Praise Solskjaer as a Good Coach

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Matteo Darmian has been trained by Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United. However, only Van Gaal and Mourinho were praised by Darmian.

Darmian left Man United after four years playing there and returned to Italy to strengthen FC Parma. The former Torino defender has been trained by three different managers, however, only Mourinho and Van Gaal are what he calls a good coach.

“Van Gaal and Mourinho are two great coaches, they have won many trophies, you know them. They are both good coaches who left a positive impression on me and I thank them,” Darmian said on Goal.

Understandably Darmian did not mention Solskjaer’s name in the category of two of the top trainers who had trained him. The AC Milan’s academy product was allegedly upset because this season, plus in the second half of last season, Solskjaer didn’t glance at him at all – at least – tried to play him.

Together with Van Gaal and Mourinho, Darmian also rarely played, but he was still given a chance to grow up. Although he rarely played for four years with the Red Devils, Darmian claimed he did not regret playing there

“The decision to move to England at that time (2015) was easy. Playing at a club as important as that is a great pride and responsibility for us, because to wear a historic jersey always provides great responsibility,” Darmian added.

“It was an experience that I might do again, very important in my career, I have faced different cultures and different football, it certainly made me develop on and off the playing field.”

“In the first two seasons I played a lot, then the last year and a half I rarely played, but my desire to play forced me to leave Manchester,” concluded Darmian.
