DBasia.news – Football has many changes in the past decade. No longer like the old days, or within 10 years, the #10YearsChallenge is trending in the social media.
There are many things to be discussed about football, it could be one full thesis to explain it within a decade. But, it’s not the same to talk about one of the world’s greatest players, Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese 33-year-old megastar has won 5 Ballon d’Or and scored a new history with Manchester United, Real Madrid, and now is having a new journey with Juventus in the Serie A, Italy.
10 years ago, July 2009, the whole Santiago Bernabeu stadium was flooded by Madrid fans who wanted to see the new recruit. El Real prepared a special stage for the team superstar.
Wearing jersey No. 9, Ronaldo, walked to the stage like a catwalk. The camera blitz caught his move.
Madrid President Florentino Perez waited for him warmly and that’s the moment when Ronaldo started to write his history with Los Blancos.
Nine years supporting Madrid, Ronaldo has presented two LaLiga titles, Copa del Rey, Spain Super Cup, four Champions League, two Europe Super Cup, and three Club World Cup.
Interestingly, during the announcement at Santiago Bernabeu, the winner of 2018 World Cup Kylian Mbappe was just 11 and played in the US Academy, Bondy, hasn’t signed to AS Monaco.
His name wasn’t as popular as it is. Mbappe just stole the attention when he won the 2016-2017 Ligue 1 with AS Monaco and signed to French rich club, Paris Saint-Germain two years ago and won the 2018 World Cup.
Mbappe, now 20, has the talent to be the next world’s best player when Ronaldo and Lionel Messi retire.
