DBasia.news –  Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool manager, responded to the results of the last eight Champions League draws against FC Porto. According to him, Liverpool must forget the meeting against Porto last season.

Liverpool meet FC Porto in the 2018-2019 Champions League quarter-finals. The results were after the draw which was held at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, Friday (3/15).

In the duel, Liverpool will host first on April 9. Eight days later, it was the Reds’ turn to visit FC Porto’s headquarters.

The meeting reminded of his second duel in the last 16 of the Champions League last season. At that time, the Reds escaped with a 5-0 aggregate.

Even so, Jurgen Klopp considers the results no longer relevant. The German manager asked all Liverpool players to be alert.

“What can I say? FC Porto and we played at home last season. Liverpool knew how well we were at the time,” Jurgen Klopp said in response to the draw.

“I don’t think this is the best draw. It’s just a draw. Liverpool must be prepared to face FC Porto since the preparation for the match.”

“I want the Liverpool players to respect their opponents. Last season’s results will have no effect. Against FC Porto, we will come to a good city,” added Jurgen Klopp.

If they pass FC Porto’s battle, Liverpool will meet more difficult opponents. Mohamed Salah and friends will face the winner of the Barcelona vs. Manchester United duel.
