Molde Insisted Solskjaer Would Return from Real Madrid This Season

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

DBasia.news – So far, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s performance as the interim manager of Manchester United is great. The Red Devils got five consecutive victories of all competitions under his leadership.

After defeating Cardiff City 5-1, Man United won against Huddersfield Town (3-1), Bournemouth (4-1), Newcastle United (2-0), and Reading in the FA Cup (2-0). Solskjaer might surpass the record of the 73-year-old football legend Sir Matt Busby if they win this weekend after the match against Tottenham Hotspur.

The atmosphere in the dressing room is also positive as he arrives replacing Jose Mourinho. There’s no more negative rumor about Man United and they play as it is: offensive.

Even though Solskjaer hasn’t been tested in the big matches against strong teams with genius managers, most fans want him to be signed permanently.

The reasons are besides to revive United, Solskjaer also really knows the culture and tradition of the club because he played under Sir Alex Ferguson in 1996-2008.

But, it won’t be easy for Man United board of directors to sign him the permanent contract even though he wants it. Molde, his club, insisted that the departure to United is just the loan period until the end of the season.

The 45-year-old coach is still in contract with Molde in the second period after the previous period in 2011-2014. Molde Director Oystein Neerland emphasized it.

“The deal is until May 12. That is our Plan A and our Plan B,” Molde managing director Oystein Neerland was reported as saying by the Daily Mail.

“We have only spoken with United about this period, January to May. Nothing else. I’m staying with this plan,” he continued.

It would be a task for United Executive Vice-Chairman Ed Woodward to negotiate with Molde if they want to sign Solskjaer permanently.

If the negotiation deadlock and Man United must find another manager, the other options are Mauricio Pochettino, Zinedine Zidane, and Laurent Blanc.
