DBasia.news –  Not only the failure of Manchester United to win the match against Crystal Palace on the 13th-week of Premier League on Saturday (24/11), but Victor Lindelof also got injured and no idea when he would recover.

Lindelof walked painfully after the match ended at Old Trafford. He is doubted to perform when Man United serve Young Boys on the fifth match of Group H Champions League, Wednesday (28/11). Mourinho waits for the update from the medical team regarding the recovery period.

“I always say this is the period of the injuries. If they are not injured with the national teams, they come to the clubs and are injured. He played against Russia three days ago or two days ago, but of course, we need him when he plays,” Mourinho said in Standard Sport.

“He was probably our best player. He was a brave lad, but he probably punished himself. I don’t know how long he will be out, but he is a fantastic example,” he continued.

No wonder Mourinho hails him, Lindelof, despite his inconsistent and average performance, is the tandem for Chris Smalling in the defensive line. Lindelof is trusted by Mourinho instead of the three other defenders: Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, and Eric Bailly.
