Jose Mourinho

DBasia.news – The Manchester Derby ended bad for 20 times Premier League winner, Manchester United. They got 1-3 defeat on the 12th-week of Premier League at Etihad Stadium. Manchester City went to the top standing and replaced Liverpool’s position.

Four goals in Manchester Derby presented by David Silva, Sergio Aguero, and Ilkay Gundogan for Man City, and one The Red Devils goal from Anthony Martial.

The defeat ended the unbeaten trend of Man United, moreover, they just won 2-1 at Turin in the match against Juventus in the Champions League. Jose Mourinho believed the squad felt under pressure hence the mistakes against Man City.

“I think it is not a bad performance at all. It was a performance with mistakes and we paid for it. All three goals are our mistakes. Against a team like City, if you make mistakes you will get punished,” Mourinho told Sky Sports.

“We had two matches away (Juventus and then City), it is not the physical effort but the mental pressure. I think some of the boys felt it a little bit. The first one is a bad one to concede and the second one is even worse. The third goal kills everything.”

“Everybody has to agree. It is one thing to go to Juventus and play against one of the best teams in the world for 90 minutes. Another thing to beat Shakhtar Donetsk at home 6-0 and be very relaxed. We arrive in different circumstances. We cannot lose the ball the way we did. It is not about David de Gea, it is about the way we lost the ball,” Mourinho said.

The defeat places Man United in the eighth position with 20 points, 7 points behind Tottenham Hotspur in the border of Champions League zone, and 12 points behind Man City.

After the international break next week, Man United will play against Crystal Palace on the 13th-week of Premier League at Old Trafford (24/11). Meanwhile, Man City will visit London Stadium, home of West Ham United (24/11).
