MU Asked to Forget the Failure from Brighton
By news-admin
DBasia.news – Probably it’s not Premier League if not surprising. Just two weeks started, Arsenal already got two consecutive defeats and what makes it worse, Manchester United also defeated at the underdog team home who just promoted to the Premier League, Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Red Devils got 3-2 defeat from the three goals by Glenn Murray, Shane Duffy, and a penalty kick from Pascal Gross. Romelu Lukaku’s goal and Paul Pogba’s penalty kick compensated it. After the match, Jose Mourinho highlighted the mistakes of the team and made it easier for Brighton to score the goal.
While the team captain, Pogba, didn’t see the urge from Man United players to win. He assumed Man United were less motivated by Brighton who had the hunger to get three points.
Everyone was blaming each other. The football experts accused some individuals as the scapegoat for the defeat. Things were terrible. However, United attacking midfielder Juan Mata, asked the teammate to forget the defeat and concentrate to revive and pick up another victory.
“Without a doubt, it wasn’t a good Sunday and the motivation to write something isn’t really there. The journey back from Brighton was tough, as you can all imagine. Both for us and for everyone that was there to support us,” Mata said reported by Mirror.
“Although things have only just begun and there is a long way to go, it always hurts to lose. A lot. We made mistakes and they penalized us for them. But we have to pick ourselves back up, improve and be positive. There’s plenty still to come and feeling sorry for ourselves isn’t going to help anyone,” the Spaniard player said.
The psychological examination for Man United in reviving wouldn’t be easy in the next match, considering that they will play against the threatening team in Mauricio Pochettino era, Tottenham Hotspur. The match would be conducted at Old Trafford on Tuesday (28/8).
