MU Legend Criticizes Mourinho

Jose Mourinho

DBasia.news –  Manchester United legend, Bryan Robson, said Jose Mourinho was with United because the coach began to babble in front of the media.

Jose Mourinho was appointed as the new coach of Manchester United in the summer of 2016 to replace Louis van Gaal’s position.

In his first year at Old Trafford, Mourinho seemed to have made Manchester United fans see signs of an early resurgence. In his first year, Mourinho won three trophies, namely the Community Shield, League Cup and also the Europa League.

In his second year, Mourinho failed to win a single trophy even though he previously brought in Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic and Victor Lindelof at a fairly high price. In the Premier League, Mourinho brought the Red Devils to finish in second place, nine points behind Manchester City. While in the FA Cup he failed to win after being defeated by Chelsea with a thin score of 0-1.

In his third season at Old Trafford, Mourinho started the season poorly, where they lost twice from the first three matches in the league. This includes three goals without reply to Tottenham. And after that, Mourinho began to comment a lot on the media. Starting from criticizing the club to criticizing his own players. And this is what, according to Robson, became the beginning of Mourinho’s fall.

“If you don’t do as well as you want, you will become tense and say something in the media even though you hope you don’t say that,” he stated.

“Jose Mourinho did a great job when he came here. Then things around the club didn’t work out the way he wanted. He started criticizing the club and the players. You can’t do that.”

“When you are a big club like Manchester United, you cannot criticize the people you are trying to get the best from. That’s where Mourinho failed at Manchester United, criticizing the players in front of the media,” he continued.
