Mysterious Injury, Naby Keita Hospitalized

DBasia.news – Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita was suddenly sitting in the match between Liverpool against SSC Napoli when the match just went 18 minutes on Wednesday. The Guinea national team quit the 1-0 match won by Napoli.

The medical team assumed he had a problem with the muscle. However, Sky Sport Italia and Radio Marte reported Keita was brought to Cardarelli Hospital for cardiac examination.

When he sat on the pitch, Keita was unconscious and probably had a heart attack. The medical result from the hospital showed that there was nothing wrong with the heart.

But his condition is still under observation and will be scan for the back pain where he got injured. Consequently, he was hospitalized.

From the official release from Liverpool, the doctoral team hasn’t release the result of Keita’s injury. It remains unknown when will the 23-year-old player leave the hospital.

“The midfielder started the game at the Stadio San Paolo, but was substituted inside the opening 20 minutes and replaced by Jordan Henderson after alerting the team’s medical staff to back pain,” wrote the Liverpool statement.

“Keita was transferred to a local hospital with the club doctor, where – with the midfielder’s agreement – he underwent a number of precautionary health checks to assess his condition. No decision has yet been taken on when the 23-year-old will be discharged. Liverpool are scheduled to remain in Italy until Thursday morning before flying back to England,” Keita continued.

Liverpool paid high to recruit Keita in the summer transfer market. They paid 60 million euro to RB Leipzig to get Keita.
