Napoli: Insigne is a Good Player, but should be Calm

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Napoli club president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has asked Lorenzo Insigne to change his behavior and be more calm and accept all the decisions of coach, Carlo Ancelotti on the pitch.

“Insigne is a good player. But he must remain calm and change his behavior,” De Laurentiis said as reported by Sky Sports Italia, Thursday.

Previously, Insigne was involved in a feud with Ancelotti when he was not played in the match against RKC Genk in the Champions League qualifying round. Ancelotti chose to play Hirving Lozano and Milik rather than Insigne.

The reason for substituting Insigne was because the player with the back number 24 was considered to have shown a decline on his performance in the training session. In that match, Napoli failed to bring full points at Genk headquarters.

Insigne then got into a debate with Ancelotti in a training session ahead of the game against Torino. He then spoke privately to solve the problem.

“Therefore, I just want to say that he has to relax and become a calmer player.”

“He is a big player and he could be in a good or bad condition. So it is the coach’s authority to play him or not,” de Laurentiis stated.

De Laurentiis will respect all coaches’ decisions, even Ancelotti is part of the Partenopei’s long-term scheme. He also stressed that the Italian national coach could train Napoli for the next 10 years.

“He can stay here (Napoli) for the next 10 years,” he added.
