DBasia.news – Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis admitted that he will ask for the permission from UEFA to allow his team to play the Champions League match this season in Bari.
Moreover, De Laurentiis is ready to pay 1,000 bus to bring Napoli supporters for 250 km trips to Bari for every match.
He wants to do it as the follow-up of the frequent complaint about their home, San Paolo Stadium that belongs to the city government of Napoli.
“The stadium of Napoli is a nightmare. Such a bad stadium limits Napoli at an international level,” he told Corriere dello Sport as reported by Reuters, Wednesday.

“It will take two years but I am going to build a new stadium so nobody can say anything to me,” he added.
The insulting opinion made Napoli Mayor Luigi Di Magistris upset. He often got a clash with De Laurentiis regarding the stadium.
“His suggestion is unthinkable and impractical,” he told Italian media. “It’s a serious matter to even think about something like that. Napoli play and will play at the San Paolo stadium,” Di Magistris told the media.
De Laurentiis just took over the ownership of Bari after the financial crisis.
Despite the comment, UEFA hasn’t accepted the request to move the venue from Napoli.
Napoli belong to Group C with Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain, and Red Star Belgrade.
