National Team’s Goal in Friendly Matches Against Myanmar and Hong Kong

DBasia.news – Indonesia national team temporary coach, Bima Sakti, wants to make the friendly matches against Myanmar and Hong Kong to improve Indonesia’s rank in FIFA.

Indonesia national team will play against Myanmar and Hong Kong in the friendly matches. The matches will be conducted on October 10 and 16.

The friendly match will be the preparation ahead of 2018 AFF Cup, also counted into FIFA’s calendar. It means the two friendly matches will give impact to FIFA rank.

“Myanmar and Hong Kong are great, we have to anticipate. They have different playing style,” national team temporary coach Bima Sakti said, quoted in PSSI’s official website.

“We also hope to regain victory in this friendly match, and improve Indonesia’s rank in FIFA,” the former Indonesia national team captain continued.

Currently, the national team are listed in the 164th rank of FIFA. Later, Garuda squad will be supported by 22 players in the friendly matches.

There is one debutant in the national team friendly match this time he is Esteban Vizcarra. The Sriwijaya FC player is a naturalization player.

“We call the squad dominated with the senior players, but there are also some 23-year-old players performed in the Asian Games,” Bima said.

“The friendly matches against Myanmar and Hong Kong are great as the preparation for 2018 AFF Cup less than two months from now,” he concluded.
