Nemanja Matic Determined to Stop Liverpool’s domination in the Premier League Next Season
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Manchester United midfielder, Nemanja Matic said that his team would not let Liverpool dominate the Premier League in the 2020-2021 season.
Liverpool appeared superior in the English Premier League 2019-2020 season. Juergen Klopp’s club won the Premier League with 99 points. Amazingly, they won when the Premier League had seven matches remaining. Liverpool are 18 points adrift of Manchester City, who is ranked second.
Meanwhile, the Reds are 33 points from Manchester United who finished third in the final standings.
Seeing the points earned from the top three English League teams this season, Liverpool really dominated.
Nemanja Matic believes that a team that can win with seven or more matches remaining, then the club is considered to be too dominating.
Therefore, Nemanja Matic wants Man United to continue to improve their game in order to stop the dominance of Liverpool next season.
“Personally, I would love to win the Premier League with Manchester United. I think our club always needs to fight for the title,” added Matic, as reported by BolaSport.com from Inside United on Saturday (1/8/2020).
“We always need to try to do the best for this club which we are also doing now.”
“We cannot let a club win a league with 7 or 10 matches before the season ends. So we have to fight to the end,” the 32-year-old player concluded.
