Nemanja Matic’s Response to Paul Pogba’s Transfer Issue

DBasia.news –  The summer transfer window is not over yet and Paul Pogba can still leave Manchester United. His teammate, Nemanja Matic, also commented on the issue.

So far, Paul Pogba isn’t certain to stay at Manchester United. Reportedly, the World Cup champion had asked the Red Devils officials to let him leave.

The news was getting stronger after Paul Pogba was not included in the Manchester United squad against AC Milan. Growing speculation had stated that the player was busy determining his future.

Paul Pogba is rumored to be heading to Juventus or Real Madrid. Both clubs had expressed their interest in Pogba. La Vecchia Signora is currently ahead of Madrid in the Pogba hunt.

Nemanja Matic is well aware that Manchester United still needs Paul Pogba’s presence. However, he could not be sure whether Pogba would still stay.

“I know you will ask that (about Paul Pogba’s transfer) to me,” Matic said with a laugh as ESPN reported.

“Of course, he is a great player and very important for Manchester United. We will see what happens next,” explained the former Chelsea player.

“He is a Manchester United player and we will be happy if he stayed. I don’t see him leaving, but in football everything is still possible,” he explained.

Manchester United will face Chelsea in the opening match of the 2019-2020 Premier League, at the Old Trafford Stadium, Sunday (11/8). Nine days later, David de Gea and mates will visit Wolverhampton Wanderers headquarters.
