Not Strengthened by the Trio of Salah-Mane-Firmino, Liverpool’s Preseason Stuttered

DBasia.news – Jurgen Klopp admitted Liverpool’s preseason was running harder because it was not reinforced by their main striker trio: Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Roberto Firmino. Klopp knows this condition is not ideal for his team.
Salah, Mane, and Firmino still have not joined because they have had a longer season by helping their respective countries. Salah and Mane appeared at AFCON, while Firmino appeared at the Copa America.
This condition can complicate Liverpool when the Premier League will begin. Especially because next season they are eyeing the Premier League trophy.
“We’ll see. That’s what happens in life, do I expect a different situation, do I expect the full squad from day one? Yes, but the last time it happened was about 12 years ago, so I’m used to players coming late,” said Klopp.
“There are still five pre-season weeks until the Premier League starts, but only four weeks until our first match against Man City. We still have to work to improve physically, but we are in no hurry to do it.”
