DBasia.news – Paul Pogba failed to provide victory for Manchester United and failed to score a penalty. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, United’s manager, was not too concerned.
Manchester United played 1-1 when they visited Wolverhampton headquarters at Molineux Stadium on Monday (8/19). The match is the second week of the Premier League 2019-2020.
In fact, Manchester United took the lead through Anthony Martial’s strike. Unfortunately for the Red Devils, Ruben Neves equalized at the start of the second half.
However, not the final result in the spotlight. Because Manchester United has the opportunity to get back ahead if Paul Pogba’s penalty is right on target.
Even so, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was reluctant to blame Paul Pogba. The Norwegian manager said there was no need to think too much about penalty kicks.
“The two Manchester United penalty takers are Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford. I don’t think too much about executing the penalty,” said the manager.
“Both are very confident and good penalty takers. I have been in that situation. Taking a penalty kick for the Norwegian national team and failed.”
“It doesn’t always have to be both of them who shoot the penalty. Sometimes you have confidence. On another day, you don’t want to kick him,” continued Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
These results make Manchester United stuck in fourth place in the Premier League standings. The Red Devils collected four points from two matches.
