DBasia.news – Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer expressed his hopes for club management to immediately extend the midfielder’s contract, Paul Pogba. Pogba is known to be the target of two European giants, Real Madrid and Juventus.

Pogba has a release clause of £ 150 million (Rp2.7 trillion). However, Solskjaer wants the French player to stay at Man United by binding a long-term contract. Therefore, Pogba’s contract will expire next year, with an extension option for 12 months.

“I cannot comment on the player’s conversations with the club. Of course I want to retain the best players at this club, hopefully we can do something,” Solskjaer said, as reported by the Evening Standard, Thursday (9/7).

He saw an increase in Pogba’s performance after missing due to injury. Fans of the Red Devils who had previously scoffed were now made silent. Moreover, his collaboration with Bruno Fernandes has made MU increasingly difficult to contain.

“He enjoys football and we will see to what extent his abilities are,” concluded Solskjaer.

The Norwegian manager sees that Pogba has been fit from his previous ankle injury. Pogba’s duet with Fernandes was considered to have a positive impact on the team. Pogba is expected to join Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic, who have already signed a new contract.

“We want to form a future squad. Scott and Nemanja would play in the same position but are on different stages. One had just started, the other is experienced, “Solskjaer said.

Pogba is likely to be a mainstay of Solskjaer when Manchester United faces Aston Villa at Villa Park, Birmingham, Friday (10/7) AM. Villa struggled to escape relegation, while Man United fought to finish in the Champions League zone.
