DBasia.news –  Ander Herrera, the Manchester United midfielder, has not recovered from injury until now. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, United’s manager, spoke out about it and had a unique theory: Herrera was injured thinking about his future fate at United.

Herrera, 29 years old, his contract ends at the end of this season. Negotiations are still going on between the two parties and reportedly, United refused to fulfill their salary demands of 200,000 pounds per week.

PSG (Paris Saint-Germain) to Arsenal immediately moved quickly to take advantage of the situation experienced by Herrera and try to bring it in next summer. Solskjaer assessed this as the reason for Herrera’s injury.

“Maybe the future is worrying and maybe, that’s part of the reason for his injury. Who knows? He doesn’t know because he has a different injury when training,” Solskjaer said, quoted from BBC Sport.

“Hopefully, he can be available to play against Chelsea, (Manchester) City, but I’m not sure because he has other muscle injuries,” he continued.

The manager from Norway also seemed to not want to take care of Herrera’s future fate. Because the question about his future is only known by Herrera who has been playing for the club since 2014.

“Well, you have to ask him. I don’t know how the latest talks progressed, but we let him focus too on his fitness,” Solskjaer added.

“He likes to play and is not very happy because he can’t help his teammate, and he always gives everything – no matter if he still has the remaining five-year or five-week contract.”

Solskjaer can only hope that Herrera can recover quickly and can be played in the remaining 2018-19 season final matches. According to United legend in mid-1996-2007, the Spanish player has worked hard to recover from injury.

“He (Herrera) has worked very hard to get fit immediately from the injury he suffered against Liverpool. Then, he returned (playing) and he got another injury while training because he really worked hard.”

“And unfortunately, the injury came at a time, let’s say, there were ongoing contract talks. So, I couldn’t really comment too much on how far the conversation was and what he decided,” he explained.
