One Voice, Inter Milan Players Wants to Return to Play With Mauro Icardi

DBasia.news – Since the lifting of the armband by Inter Milan from Mauro Icardi to Samir Handanovic, Icardi has never been far from Europe’s media coverage, especially Italy.
The club’s internal situation has intensified as Icardi chose not to take part when his team underwent an away match against Rapid Wien in the Europa League last 32 round, Friday (15/2) morning. Lastly when Inter hosted Sampdoria on Monday (18/2), the Argentine player was also not in the squad despite being seen at Giuseppe Meazza.
Inter’s performance without Icardi is has actually been not too bad, they even managed to win two matches against Rapid Wien and Sampdoria. Nevertheless, it seems that the figure of the 26-year-old player is still missed by other team-mates. This has also been confirmed directly by Lautaro Martinez.
“Yes, of course we will continue to support him. Icardi’s future at Inter Milan will be determined by himself and not regulated by us as his team-mates,” Martinez said as quoted by Goal.
“For us, of course Icardi is one of the important players. All players hope he will soon be back in the team,” added the 21-year-old.
It is still unclear what made Nerazzurri choose to remove Icardi captain’s armband, but the decline in performance – not scoring in the last seven Serie A matches and the talk of a new contract that has never shown development is strongly believed to be on of the factors.
The news of Icardi’s deteriorating relationship with Inter is clearly good news for a number of clubs who want to recruit him. He also did not have trouble finding a new club, Juventus and Real Madrid are reportedly ready to compete to get his signature.
Luciano Spalletti’s squad will try to continue the trend of victory at home to Rapid Wien in the second leg of the Europa League top 32 round on Friday (22/2) WIB.
