DBasia.news – The 2018-19 Premier League is contested by two race horses: Liverpool and Manchester City. Pablo Zabaleta, West Ham United’s right-back commented on the matter. According to him, Liverpool does not need to be tense in the hunt.
Liverpool won three draws from four Premier League matches before beating Watford 5-0. The situation made the Reds just one point away from Manchester City.
Zabaleta reminded Liverpool fans to not put too much pressure on the players. That can be fatal to the mentality of the Reds players.
“When the team doesn’t play well it seems the fans are a little tense. It can make it difficult for players to concentrate and play well,” Zabaleta said as reported by the BBC.
Zabaleta feels Liverpool are increasingly depressed by the fact of 29 years without a Premier League title. “Some Liverpool supporters have been waiting for the Premier League title,” said Zabaleta.
Zabaleta thinks that Manchester City has advantages over Liverpool, namely experience. “There’s a way to go and it’s important to win the Premier League before. Manchester City have been in that situation,” Zabaleta said.
“Both times winning the Premier League, we are behind the current leaders. There are a few players in the locker room now who have experience. That will be key,” Zabaleta said.
The competition for the title hunt will be even more exciting towards the end of the competition. Now, the two teams will go against each other in the remaining 10 matches.
