DBasia.news – Jose Mourinho’s words are true: Manchester United’s squad is not good. Gradually, the current squad began to show its fragility and inconsistent playing in the Premier League and Champions League.
United had a positive atmosphere when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer came in for Mourinho in December 2018, but the team’s performance has declined again in the last few matches and now the club’s decision to give a permanent contract to the manager is questionable.
Regarding the difficulties experienced by the current Red Devils, the club legend, Paul Scholes, considers that they must immediately bring in new players in the 2019 summer transfer market, especially to improve the quality of the front and back lines.
“I think the Manchester United squad and the overall team atmosphere at the moment are very confusing. I always feel that in big clubs, they must have high-quality front lines, and now they don’t have adequate quality. Players like Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial must immediately produce tangible results,” Paul Scholes said in an interview quoted from Goal.
Scholes also felt that United needed to bring in a new defender to form a partnership with Victor Lindelof, as well as a new right-back to become a long-term replacement for Ashley Young despite recruiting Diogo Dalot in the 2018 summer transfer market.
