Paul Scholes: Toni Kroos and Luka Modric’s Playing Style is Similar to Mine

DBasia.news – Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes believes there are two players whose style of play is similar to his. The two players referred to by Scholes are Toni Kroos and Luka Modric. Scholes rates that the style of play of the two Real Madrid players is similar to when he was still an active football player.

According to the Mirror, Bruno Fernandes is currently claimed to be a player whose style of play is similar to Scholes since he retired. But according to Scholes himself, it turns out Luka Modric has a similar style to him.

“I like to think I play a little like Luka Modric. “He is different from me because he is faster than me, he can get past opponents, but I see some similarities, such as controlling the game,” Scholes told the Savage Social Podcast.

In addition to Modric, Toni Kroos is also another player who is recognized by Scholes to have a style of play similar to him. In fact he called Kroos more similar than Modric.

“When I saw the two of them playing for Real Madrid, they were similar to me. Maybe I’m more inclined to Toni Kroos, as a feeder and more in control of the game. He is not too physically involved with opponents and has scored several goals from many positions. I think if I had to  choose, I look more like Kroos than Modric, “concluded Scholes.

Together with Manchester United, Scholes spent a total of 19 seasons playing 718 matches and scored 155 goals.
