Pedro Impressed Frank Lampard

DBasia.news –  Chelsea won a 2-0 victory over Liverpool in the fifth round of the FA Cup at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday (04/03). After the match, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard said he was impressed with Pedro’s performance.

Pedro previously had problems because of the injury he suffered, but the 32 years old player was still able to show its quality after recovering from injury. His desire to continue to train and help his team when injured impressed Lampard.

“I agree he is exceptional for his work ethic and the players look at him for what he has done. He has always been a threat,” said Lampard as reported by Goal.

“The parts of the season are difficult. He was in the team at first, injured and then left the team, but what he has shown, especially in these recent weeks, is a real desire in training, to look sharp, to make an impact and fight for his place with his body language,” continued the former Derby County manager.

Although the Spaniard is only able to score one goal and two assists in 17 games this season, Lampard still calls Pedro as one of Chelsea’s most important players.

“He can be one of our most important players until the end of the season,” concluded Lampard.

Chelsea followed Arsenal who have managed to secure the last eight of the FA Cup. While Liverpool swallowed their third defeat in the last four matches in all competitions.
