DBasia.news – Premier League defending champion Manchester City surprisingly got defeated against Crystal Palace on the 18th-week of Premier League, Saturday (22/12). The Citizens got defeated 2-3 and now four points behind the leader, Liverpool.
Two goals were presented by Ilkay Gundogan (27′) and Kevin De Bruyne (85′). Meanwhile, the three goals of Palace were created by Jeffrey Schlupp (33′), Andros Townsend (35′), and a penalty from Luka Milivojevic (51′).
Three goals of the Palace happened just by the shot on-target. So, it’s reasonable that Pep Guardiola hails The Eagles playing efficiency and blamed the penalty of his squad before the match ended.
“We started quite decent and created chances. We scored a fantastic goal and after they passed the halfway line they scored,” Guardiola told the BBC.
“The third goal… we cannot concede the penalty we conceded. We have to try and avoid it. Football is like this. Three shots on goal and three goals,” the Spanish manager continued.
Despite the failure, Guardiola believes Sergio Aguero and friends could take back the lost points on December.
“It’s complicated but we fight until the last second. We are in December and we will try and recover and try and win games again,” Guardiola described.
