DBasia.news –  Manchester City showed a good response after the club were eliminated from the Champions League quarter-finals. Pep Guardiola, manager of Man City, salutes the mental strength of his foster children.

Manchester City experienced a dramatic moment in the Champions League quarter-finals against Tottenham Hotspurs. Losing 1-0 in the first leg, The Citizens appeared militant in the second duel.

A dramatic moment happened when Raheem Sterling scored at the end of the game and made the score 5-3. However, the referee canceled the goal after seeing Sterling be offside through VAR.

“Yes, when we needed time to recover. Two and a half days ago we returned to face Tottenham Hotspurs in the Premier League. It was very difficult,” said Pep Guardiola as told by the BBC.

“It’s amazing to see 60 thousand supporters enjoying qualifying for the Champions League semifinals and in one second you failed. You passed the excitement and destroyed it,” he explained.

“You think it can’t happen. I can’t ask players to forget it. I tell them how to live with heartache.”

“We have to accept it. Sometimes you win and sometimes lose, that’s life. Life is not easy because it doesn’t come as desired,” Guardiola explained.

Luckily, Manchester City did not lose focus after losing to Tottenham Hotspur. Sergio Aguero and his mates won the Premier League with one point ahead of Liverpool who finished second.

“Football is an extraordinary emotion, when you run and celebrate. I will do it again and again. How we react to defeating Tottenham, Manchester United and Burnley, this team is incredible.”
