Peter Kenyon Speaks About Jose Mourinho
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Jose Mourinho, in the eyes of Peter Kenyon, the former CEO of Manchester United, is a great manager and has his training methods.
Mourinho’s fate is now ironic seeing his status as one of Europe’s top coaches, rolling in trophies, and having great success experience at big European clubs. Mourinho has not coached the club since being sacked by Man United in December 2018.
The public and figures sees Mourinho as an old-fashioned manager with his support when he coached Man United – this is the reason for his dismissal. However, Kenyon does not agree with that opinion.
“If you choose me in a position taken at a great club and you need to recruit a manager, think first that I’m Jose Mourinho,” Kenyon said, launching from Goal.
“He is smart, relevant, and has great experience. He is not stale (old-fashioned in thinking of football). I just think he needs the right club. I’m sure you will see Mourinho return to being part of a big club again.”
Kenyon also restored Mourinho’s failure in his third season with United due to a lack of support from club officials. If fully supported by management, Kenyon believes that Portugal is able to defeat America.
“The key is to provide a proper structure and organization to ensure that he is part of everything,” Kenyon added.
“I was the first to express my disappointment of him leaving America qw I thought he could be part of a large leadership structure.”
“There is nothing better than him if knowing what United represents. Jose is far from an old-fashioned or irrelevant manager,” concluded Kenyon.
