DBasia.news – AC Milan new striker Krzysztof Piatek won’t forget the special moment in the match against Napoli in the quarter-final of Coppa Italia at San Siro, Wednesday (30/1). No wonder, Piatek scored two goals that brought his team won 2-0 against Napoli.
Piatek proved that AC Milan took the right decision by signing him after scoring the two goals. To sign Piatek, Rossoneri spent 35 million euro. The Poland national team player is the successor of Gonzalo Higuain who joined Chelsea.
After the match, Piatek revealed the secret behind the two goals. The former Genoa player admits that he has been communicating with Diego Laxalt and Fabio Borini.
“I expected a night like this. I said that I was ready and I got a brace, but this is just the start,” Piatek told Milan TV.
“Both goals were great, even if they were different. Before the game I spoke to Diego Laxalt and Fabio Borini, asking them to give me the ball high and long, because I prefer it that way,” he emphasized.
“On the second goal, I had to take on Koulibaly, but it went well. I am already thinking about the next game with Roma and hope the rapport with my teammates is even stronger by then,” the bomber said.
For Piatek, playing in front of Milan’s public is a dream come true. “I felt good tonight and it was marvelous playing at San Siro,” he added.
The two goals achievement also raised the compliment from Gennaro Gattuso. He thinks the second goal happened from a difficult process.
“That second goal was incredible. He is an amazing striker and we are happy to have him on our side that’s for sure. Everyone did well today but Piatek was a difference maker,” Gattuso said.
