DBasia.news – Real Madrid will face Manchester City without the presence of mainstay defender Sergio Ramos in the second leg of the Champions League last 16. Eder Militao insists he is ready to replace Ramos to oversee Madrid’s back line.

The Brazilian National Team player will fill the place of Ramos who was banned from playing in the match at Etihad Stadium on August 7. Zinedine Zidane’s team is trying to work hard to reverse the backwardness of 1-2 due to losing in the first 16 of the first leg at the Santiago Bernabeu.

To the Spanish daily Diario AS, the central defender who was brought from Porto said he was ready to undergo opposition in front. Militao will take advantage of this opportunity to prove his capacity and quality that he deserves to be in the main squad of the team nicknamed Los Blancos.

“This match is a great opportunity to show what I can, and that I can be relied on in important matches,” Militio said.

As is known, Ramos got a red card in the first leg match so that he could not play. However the captain decided to go to Manchester with the team.

In addition to the Spanish defender, Zidane also had to lose the injured left back Marcelo. As such, he will put up a defense quartet of Ferland Mendy, Militao, Raphael Varane and Dani Carvajal.
