DBasia.news – The former Chelsea player Andy Townsend assumed Manchester United aren’t the right club for Paul Pogba. Townsend predicted the France national team player would be greater playing for Manchester City.
Paul Pogba is still looking for his best strategy at Manchester United. Last season, the former Juventus player considered playing inconsistently by the manager, Jose Mourinho. As a result, Pogba sat on the bench for most matches.
The situation was so different with the 2018 World Cup. Pogba performed impressively bringing the France national team as the champion.
Meanwhile, Pogba proved to Mourinho that the decision to entrust the captain ban during the 2018-2019 Premier League first match against Leicester City was right. Moreover, Pogba was chosen as the man of the match after scoring one goal.

Townsend admitted that he sees Pogba’s talent since he joined Manchester United. But Mourinho strategy deterred him.
“I don’t subscribe to any of the other guys, particularly ex-midfield players as well, that have all heavily criticised him. I think he’s an outstanding player and I’ve said that from day one,” Townsend said on BBC Radio 5 Live.
Different with Mourinho who prioritizing pragmatical football, Pep Guardiola is known as the manager who loves attacking performance. It can be seen from the last season when The Citizens became the most productive club in the Premier League with 106 goals.
“I just think the club he’s playing at and the way they play, doesn’t suit him. If he was across the road in a light blue shirt, my goodness, I’m telling you now he would be better than he is.”
