DBasia.news – Paul Pogba’s brother, Mathias Pogba just recruited by the third tier team of French League, Tours FC. As we know, Mathias has no team for a year.
The Guinea national team player performed in the competitive league when he supported the Netherlands League team, Sparta Rotterdam. In the match against ADO Den Haag on April 23, 2017, Sparta got a 0-1 defeat.
In the team’s official release, Mathias said that there were many teams targetting him. “I chose Tours, because of all the different discussions I had with interested clubs, only the management of Tours understood me and convinced me to join their project,” said the 28-year-old player.
Mathias actually got injured since February 2018. But he insisted that he has been struggling to find his best performance and he got more confident following the suggestion from the doctor that handled him.
“The rehabilitation was long and difficult, but I never gave up to return to my best level,” Mathias revealed.
Unlike his brother, Mathias hasn’t spent many careers in the second class of Europe competition. Before Sparta, he supported a Scotland team, Patrick Thistle, England team, Crawley Town, and Pescara in Serie B.
“My main goals for joining Tours are to get back on the pitch, to have fun, but also to help FC Tours and my team-mates earn promotion to Ligue 2,” said the player who was born in Conakry, Guinea.
