Pogba’s Dribbles Bring Manchester United to Win against Sheffield

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Paul Pogba performed brilliantly when Manchester United beat Sheffield United 3-2. Pogba ‘dances’ with dribbles of roulette and ends up with a beautiful Tiki-Taka goal.

Week 13 of the Premier League, Manchester United visited Sheffield United at Bramall Lane, Friday (18/12/2020). The reciprocal goals happened!

MU was left behind first through David McGoldrick’s quick goal in the fifth minute. The Red Devils got up by scoring three goals back against the host. Goals were born from Marcus Rashford’s brace (26th and 51st minute) and Anthony Martial (33′). The Blades were only able to thin out through McGoldrick’s second goal in this match in the 87th minute.

The result brings Manchester United to sixth place in the Premier League standings with 23 points. They are five points away from the temporary top, Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Sheffield, who became a dark horse last season, is still buried at the bottom of the standings with one point. Never won so far.

Manchester United’s third goal process was really neat. The main actor is the central midfielder Paul Pogba.

From the front of the MU penalty box, Pogba can cut the throw-in ball. He controlled the ball, past Oliver Burke.

Paul Pogba runs then Ethan Ampadu tries to tackle. Cleverly, the French player dribbled with the roulette technique through him.

Pogba then sends the ball to Bruno Fernandes, a quick counter-attack begins!

Bruno Fernandes crosses the ball to Mason Greenwood with a high heel. Greenwood was dropped, but the ball was still controlled by Marcus Rashford.

Then quickly the ball was sent to Bruno Fernandes who was running fast, instantly sending the through ball to Anthony Martial.

Two Sheffield United defenders shut down Martial, but either mis-controlled or crossed the ball then rolled from his feet to the front of the box. Marcus Rashford greeted him with a powerful kick and goal!

At first glance it looks like the tiki-taka scheme…

MU manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer praised Paul Pogba. For him, Pogba was the source of the Red Devils’ beautiful third goal.

“Pogba is an important part of the open play from behind and strong passing passes. His vision and creativity are very much we want and he is doing very well,” said Solskjaer as quoted by Sky Sports.

“All the players also played very well,” he continued.

Paul Pogba played the full game in the match, partnering Nemanja Matic in midfield. Pogba also provided an assist with a slow pass into the penalty area for Anthony Martial’s goal.
