DBasia.news – Luka Modric’s commitment to Real Madrid will not change. This belief is owned by former Madrid player, Predrag Mijatovic. He believes Modric will not leave in the 2019 summer transfer market.
Previously, Luka Modric was very close to joining Inter Milan at the start of this season. Reportedly, the Croatian national team player had agreed to leave for Italy as he wanted to feel a new challenge.
However, the transfer was not realized as Florentino Perez was reluctant to give the green light. The president considered Modric to still be an important part of Los Blancos.
Currently, news on Modric leaving Madrid has continued to arise. That happened after Zinedine Zidane will make a massive revolution next season. The coach wants to replace some senior players with new faces. Paul Pogba and Christian Eriksen are two midfielders who are on the El Real purchase list.
Nevertheless, Predrag Mijatovic ensures Modric will still be part of Madrid next season. Mijatovic claimed to have spoken with the player.
“He will survive. I have spoken to him and it is the worst match he has ever played,” Predrag Mijatovic told El Larguero.
“He is a committed player and the problem is not with Modric. It will not be easy to recover what he has with the players who will join,” said Mijatovic.
“The market has changed. All the clubs know they have to bring in players at a surging price. He is a professional and happy. He struggles like all players.”
Luka Modric won great success last season. In addition to embracing the Champions League title, the former Tottenham Hotspur also won several individual titles and delivered Croatia to the 2018 World Cup final.
