Rafael’s Satisfaction for Defeating City

DBasia.news – Manchester United former defender, Rafael da Silva, admitted his satisfaction for defeating Manchester City. Rafael admitted that he is still supporting The Red Devils.
Manchester City surprisingly got 1-2 defeat against Olympique Lyon. In fact, the Matchday 1 of 2018-2019 Champions League was conducted at their home, Etihad Stadium.
In that match, Manchester City could only score the only goal from Bernardo Silva. While two goals from Lyon presented by Maxwel Cornet and Nabil Fekir.
The victory against Manchester City made Lyon saved from the poor record. Apparently, in five opening match of Ligue 1, Lyon just gained 7 points.
In that match, Rafel who was previously supporting Manchester United performed for 90 minutes. The Brasilian defender guarded the right field of Lyon’s defense.

After the match, Rafael admitted that he came to Manchester for the victory. Rafael was never defeated against Manchester City at the time he played for Manchester United.
“Everybody knows I’m a United supporter. To come here to win at City – I’ve never lost here – is very good for me,” Rafael said.
“We know that if we play together we have a chance against any team. We have quality players, as you saw. We just need to play like this more often and results will come.”
“I don’t know if they underestimated us. Maybe they looked at the videos and said ‘well, they don’t have good confidence’,” Rafael added.
Rafael da Silva supported Manchester United from 2008 until 2015. Rafel won some titles with The Red Devils, including the Premier League and Club World Cup.
