DBasia.news – Six players have been recruited by Real Madrid in the transfer market this summer, namely: Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy, Luka Jovic, Eden Hazard, Rodrygo Goes, and Takefusa Kubo.
Despite spending funds estimated at 300 million euros, this has not satisfied the club at all, there are still several other names that are included in Zinedine Zidane’s transfer plan, one of which is Sadio Mane who is currently working at Liverpool.
According to a recent report from Express, in order to get Mane’s signature, Los Blancos is willing to include one of its players, namely Marco Asensio.
As is known, Asensio has long been included in Jurgen Klopp’s spending plan, El Real did not mind releasing the Spanish player as the player also started the match more often from the bench, especially the club based at the Santiago Bernabeu must also take off some of their players, so they do not get sanctioned by the Financial Fair Play (FFP).
Asensio’s performance in the 2018/19 season can be said to be mediocre, the 23-year-old player was only able to score six goals and seven assists from 44 matches, in contrast to Sadio Mane who scored 26 goals and also became the key for the Reds to win the Champions League.
Unfortunately, Madrid’s hopes of soon bringing Mane did not seem to be easy, besides still being a mainstay of Jurgen Klopp, the Senegalese player was also still under contract until 2023.
Marco Asensio is certainly not going to be the last player to leave the Bernabeu, other than himself, several other names such as Theo Hernandez, Mateo Kovacic and Gareth Bale are also likely to be released by the club with 33 La Liga titles.
