Raphael Varane
DBasia.news – Zinedine Zidane re-trained Real Madrid and the news was supposed to be enough to make fans, players, and directors happy. But, that does not mean there are no rumors of players leaving from the latest squad.
One of the names in the last few years has been rumored to be leaving is the tough defender of the team, Raphael Varane. The Frenchman was called disappointed with the performance of his team in the 2018/19 season and judged if he needed a new challenge after successfully winning 14 trophies since joining eight seasons ago.
This then made Varane included in the transfer radar of two top European teams, Juventus and Manchester United. But it seems the hopes of the two clubs to immediately bring the 25-year-old player will find a steep road.
According to the latest report from the US English, Madrid had absolutely no plans to release Varane. The club is also claimed to have taken the decision to defend the player while providing a salary increase to nine million euros per season – which will also make him one of the highest paid players in the squad.
But if it fails to convince the player brought in from Lens to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu, Los Blancos is also rumored to have begun to look for his successor, namely Kalidou Koulibaly, who is currently working in Italy with Napoli.
Real Madrid will certainly be a busy club releasing some players in the summer of 2019, especially Zidane has also ensured that there will be some changes in his team in the upcoming 2019/20 season.
Besides Varane, the club owner of 13 Champions League titles is also reportedly ready to release Gareth Bale and several players who are currently undergoing a loan period, namely Matteo Kovacic and Achraf Hakimi.
