Reasons for Courtous being replaced

DBasia.news –  A rare moment occurred during Real Madrid’s match against Club Brugge in the Champions League.  In the second half, Thibaut Courtois, pulled out and replaced by Alphonse Areola.  At that time, Los Blancos behind 0-2.

 In an official release by the club, the Belgian goalkeeper was pulled out due to a stomach upset.

 “In response to the current situation regarding our goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, Real Madrid wants to explain the following;  our players have never experienced anxiety as alleged.  Then Courtois has been diagnosed with acute gastoesentris,” the statement read.

 Until now, the club also confirmed that Courtois is still undergoing intensive care.  “At this time, the player responds well during treatment and will continue for some time to come,” the statement continued.
