Rio Ferdinand Disappointed with Man United’s Performance Against Wolves

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Rio Ferdinand was unable to restrain his disappointment after seeing Manchester United’s goalless draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup third round, Sunday (05/01) AM.

Man United’s inconsistency continues this season. Having felt a euphoria when winning two consecutive times against a big team, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City, Man United were actually exhausted in several matches afterwards.

One goalless draw against Wolves. Ashley Young and his colleagues were monotonous and had a hard time unpacking the strong Wolves defense. The mastery of the two teams was also relatively balanced: Wolves 49 percent, Man United 51 percent.

Both teams also released 12 kick attempts. Two of them were right on target for Wolves, but not for United who did not test John Ruddy, Wolves goalkeeper.

No doubt Ferdinand was furious or annoyed at the performance shown by Man United players. The Englishman who is now an observer of English football failed to understand the inconsistency of United’s play this season.

“This (Man United) is still in the process. The problem is they need consistency. That inconsistency, I cannot understand,” said Ferdinand, as quoted from Dailymail.

“Recently they defeated Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City. You must think they are on the right path now. But they showed a different game in the match against Arsenal, I’m also disappointed to see the match against Wolves,” he added.

As a result, Man United had to play back the FA Cup third round in a repeat match that took place at Old Trafford against Wolves in early February.
