Ronald Koeman reportedly has no objection in releasing Ousmane Dembele

DBasia.news – The drama in the transfer market is often surprising. The chance to leave Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona could also happen.

Manchester United are trying to bring in new players in the winger position ahead of the closing of the transfer market this summer on October 5. Dembele is one of the options targeted after Jadon Sancho was hard to come by.

Dembele is reportedly not interested in the offer. He would rather fight for a prime spot at Barcelona.

Interestingly, Koeman seemed to be hanging onto Dembele’s fate. He did not explicitly reject or accept Manchester United’s offer.

“I haven’t spoken to Dembele about his future, but there are a few days left before the market closes. It all depends on the player,” Koeman said at a press conference ahead of the match against Sevilla.

“We have a lot of competition at the front as there is a lot of quality in Ansu (Fati), Konrad (de la Fuente), Dembele, (Antoine) Griezmann and many more in his position. Ansu Fati is now ahead of Dembele (in competition). “

Of the two opening matches of the 2020-2021 LaLiga, Dembele was not played as a starter. In the last match against Celta Vigo, the 23-year-old was not even played.

Koeman prefered to rely on Philippe Coutinho and Ansu Fati on the flanks. This is what Manchester United are trying to take advantage of, namely promising the opportunity to play for Dembele.

“I want to have a happy squad. He might be upset for not playing but if he doesn’t want to be here, he has to let me know,” he added.

“I will rely on him and he will have a chance to play if there is nothing, if there is no movement.”

Dembele may still want to stay at Barcelona until now. However, his stance could change if the Blaugrana’s efforts to bring in Memphis Depay happens.
